On May 1, 2013 the Fund delegation under the direction of Mr. Khalifa Al Romaithi and Mr. David Herbada held a working visit to Karaganda CHP-3. During the visit the Fund’s representatives get acquainted with construction and installation works on concrete casting of foundation for boiler in compliance with the investment project approved in 2012. The technical Director of Karaganda Energocenter LLP Mr. Vladimir Plotnikov reported on results of heating season and preparatory measures for upcoming heating season and presented the results of the investment program.
For the moment at CHP-3 is implemented a capacity expansion project, during which at the station will be installed boiler with stream generating capacity of 670 tons per hour and the turbine T-110/115 - 13.8 to be placed in thermal power plants with a heavy load for heating steam extraction. Installation of the boiler will not only provide turbine by steam, but will stock up steam at CHP-3 to 150 tons per hour, turbine equipment will work both on electrical (on steam-condensing mode and modes with adjustable steam extraction) and thermal schedule (electric load is determined by heat consumption).
